We are delighted to announce that Ballinacurra House has been selected as One Fab Day’s 100 Best Wedding Venues.  In narrowing down the country’s hundreds of wedding venues, One Fab Day, Ireland’s leading online wedding magazine left no stone unturned. The guide is curated by the editorial team at One Fab Day and is of the most unique wedding venues across the country.

Commenting on the launch of the Best Wedding Guide, Naoise McNally, Co-Founder and Editor of One Fab Day said: “Each year the locations Irish people choose for their weddings become more diverse and non-traditional. However in 2015 weddings are set for a return to luxury. While rustic barn weddings are still a hot choice for couples, DIY weddings are slowly cooling, and glamour is coming back. Couples are choosing old-school luxury in the form of members clubs, aristocratic castles and grand country houses.”

Winner – Ballinacurra House - Kinsale Beats Richard Branson’s Necker Island to Best Exclusive Hire Property in Cannes Awards

Ballinacurra House Kinsale, was voted “Best Exclusive Hire Property” at the International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) in Cannes this month by the prestigious Luxury Travel Magazine , beating out stiff competition from Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island in the Caribbean and Dhoni Mighili resort in The Madives. Ballinacurra House was the only nominee from Europe to have reached through to the final shortlist, alongside Virgin magnate Richard Branson’s property and the Maldives resort and was crowned overall winner in the face of their longer established and more high profile competition.

“We are proud to have received this award as an endorsement of our special niche in the market in Ireland,” said Ballinacurra House owner Des McGahan.“It’s also ironic Failte Ireland do not have a listing for Private Hire properties as yet, so we feel very much we are pioneering a new trail in the Tourism Industry.“Our clients value the quality, personalized service but most importantly the privacy we offer and this prize is vindication of that. It’s a great feeling to get this recognition in the marketplace after only 3 years in business with nominations for two major national and international awards in the space of the last couple of months – especially when you consider what Mr Branson has to offer.”
