“Thank you all for making our stay in Ballinacurra so wonderful and memorable.  Everything was amazing, and we couldn’t have wished for more – it was exceptional in every way and very well organised.”

Private Groups

There is a wealth of world-class sporting and social activities in the surrounding areas of Ballinacurra House and Kinsale.  And what better way to experience some of these activities but in your own group of like-minded friends or colleagues.

And that’s not all – with the add-on attractions of sightseeing, historic town, great atmosphere, luxury accommodation and the culinary experience, it’s the perfect destination capable of satisfying the specialist or the enthusiast.

We have hosted many groups, and also helped co-ordinate their activities for them.  So whether you are a group of friends, work colleagues, societies or other, why not combine more than one activity into your trip?  Here’s a programme we put together for a group from The Netherlands recently:

Day 1 – Golf at the World Famous Old Head – voted ‘the most spectacular golf course in the world’.

Day 2 – Fishing on a secured stretch on the River Blackwater. Our resident ghillie Danny took a specially prepared picnic lunch which they ate on the banks of the River whilst getting “tuition” from Ireland’s current Fly Fishing champion. This was topped off with their ‘catch’ being prepared and served in our Ballroom the same evening as part of a specially prepared menu by our Head Chef.

Day 3 – And something a little more strenuous to top off their trip – West Cork Equine Centre took them horseriding through narrow lanes and fields, and then a chance to let loose with a ride on a glorious beach.

So add a bunch of friends, a unique country house, the Kinsale “Gourmet Capital” location, Cork Airport 20 minutes away, a Michelin standard chef and throw in world class activities as well – the craic couldn’t get any better!

And don’t forget that Kinsale also enjoys a wealth of wonderful “boutique festivals” from the famous Gourmet Festival, Cork & Kinsale Jazz Festival and the Kinsale Arts Week, offering visitors accessible world class entertainment against the backdrop of this fashionable harbour town.  For more information on what’s going on in Kinsale, see www.kinsale.ie
