Onsite Civil Ceremonies

Church or civil ceremony?  The choice is yours…

Whether you wish to marry in a traditional Church Ceremony in one of the many churches in Kinsale and the surrounding villages, or whether you wish to have a civil marriage ceremony in the House or Grounds at Ballinacurra House – The Choice is Yours!

We were approved for our first civil wedding ceremony in April 2008 and this has paved the way for many couples to design the wedding they want and the venue of their choice.

This has changed the way venues in Ireland operate and making those with extensive and private grounds an appealing alternative to the so called usual traditional church style weddings, making them the new ‘chapels of Ireland’.

All in the privacy of your own unique private estate for your bespoke wedding venue.

We never lost the flexibility to make the wedding truly personal and it was their ability to meet all our bespoke requests that make the wedding so perfect

These civil marriage ceremonies can be performed by numerous officials – either a government appointed HSE Registrar, priests, ministers, rabbis, etc. – so long as they have the approval from the Irish Government to perform these ceremonies in a venue outside a church, and ‘provided the venue has been inspected and approved by the HSE in advance of the marriage ceremony’.

As one of the premier civil ceremony venues in Ireland we have hosted numerous civil ceremonies, civil weddings, blessings, humanist ceremonies and other multi-denominational ceremonies.
